Orthopedic Surgery
Capitol Illini is proud to serve as a center for orthopedic surgery in central Illinois. Dr. William Wright's devotion to this special interest allows us to provide the most advanced methods for skeletal corrective surgery. Orthopedic surgery corrects problems associated with bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons. Because all of these structures must work together and be healthy for our pets to have a comfortable life, it is important that conditions affecting these tissues be appropriately managed.
Orthopedic Surgery available at our Springfield Location.
Performed by William H. Wright DVM | Christina Holbrook, DVM
We also offer arthroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat joint injuries and diseases that affect the joints. Arthroscopic procedures are less invasive with shorter recovery time for your pet.
Arthroscopic Surgery available at our Springfield Location.

All patients preoperatively undergo preanesthetic bloodwork as a test of organ function for revealing possible hidden health conditions or genetic disorders that could predispose your pet to becoming a surgical anesthetic risk. During any surgical procedure a fully trained veterinary and technical staff, with the use of anesthetic monitoring devices, closely observes your pet. Surgical pain management remains a part of our protocol to ensure greater comfort postoperatively.
